Big Larch Campground (Leaving) |
| I was up early the day I left Seeley Lake. I wanted to get away from the campground before all the loudmouths and
jet skiers ruined the peace and solitude of the morning. I drove past more lakes. Salmon Lake was covered in fog.
A few lakes looked like they did not allow motor boats. they all had nice houses along their banks. I wanted to get to interstate 90 so I could get to interstate 15. Dillon, MT KOA was my planned destination. As I started east on highway 200 I saw a sign for the Garnet Ghost town. I looked at my map and saw that the road was a shoirt cut to I-90, but it was a gravel road. I turned around and decided to try it. I was in no hurry for the day. I took it easy on the steep, bumpy, windy gravel road lined by fir trees with great views of the valley below. I pulled over to let a state park pickup pass at one point. It took me 30 minutes to go 11 miles. |
