| As much as we hated to, we felt compelled to keep our visit with R&L and family short in order to arrive in
Ocean Shores in time to set up camp. I did not even get out my camera which is why you see a picture of my bike
at sunset on Ocean Shores above. It turned out bikes were the topic of conversation for much of our visit. Apparently R's had been stolen the night before and everyone commented on the look of my bike as it sat on the bike rack on the trunk of my car. We had lemonade and chips and salsa with R, A2 and M on the back deck. They have a real nice garden and a very pleasant neighborhood. As we were getting in our vehicles to leave, A1 was arriving home from school with a few friends. I felt a little rude to leave right after saying hello, but we needed to press on not knowing what the traffic was going to be like. After we somehow managed a series of left and right hand turns to get on the freeway the traffic was slow at first but soon picked up and we were on our way. |
