Ocean Shores(Leaving) |
| Leaving M and Ocean Shores was a little bit emotional since I was not sure where I was going or when I would see
a familar face again. I took the car and bike down to the car wash and washed off all the sand and salt I could.
I keep forgetting to download my tracks and clear my GPS at the appropriate time. I tried performing this task
while driving, but had to pull over half way to Hoquaim to finish it. Passing through Aberdeen I stopped at a gas station to get gas and some WD-40 to oil down my chain. I asked the relatively young female attendant if there were any jobs in the area, just as a lark. I should think these questions out a little more. Her response was, "What kind of job are you looking for." Good question. I wish I knew. I guess that is why I am writing this rather than making money somewhere. She mentioned there was a mill opening up half way between Aberdeen and Olympia, but that the economy is not what it used to be. It looked the same as it was 13 years ago when I spent the summer in the area. I was headed south to Fort Canby looking for adventure with my camera and bike. I would soon have more than I asked for. On the way I was fortunate enough to find an AM radio station that carried the NASCAR race. The race ended as I pulled into my destination. |
