Mount Shasta (Leaving)

I headed for my fishing hole as soon as I got up and the fish were biting just as well as when I went to bed. As you can see I was catching fish as big as my shoe. I broke camp around 10 am and let the people in Ashland know I would be stopping by.

About halfway between Mt. Shasta and Ashland I got as call from my real estate agent asking me if I was near a fax machine. Obviously I was not. There was a mistake on my closing papers that was going to cost me another $2000 that I would have to sign for. I told her to get it all straightened out and call me back since my next stop was less than an hour away. I did not hear from her again all day.

The car seemed to be having a little trouble with the passes, but not too much. My gas mileage for the trip was down to 30 mph from 40mph. I assume that is mostly from the drag of my bike on the back and extra weight.
