Klamath Falls KOA (Leaving)

I awoke to a cold, wet, smoky, and dark KOA in Klamath Falls. I took the time to download and clear my GPS tracks as a woman had her two dogs defecate in the empty tent site next to mine. I cruised by some of my old haunts. Unlike the rest of the places I have visited in Oregon, the yhad improved with age. Their was a very large brand new brick court house, my old apartments had been painted and OIT was looking better.

I ate breakfast and worked on web pages near the Klamath Lake shore while watching Pelicans near the Pelican Marina. I know Klamath has a reputation for pelicans, but I don't recall seeing so many in my time there.

By 9:30 am I was headed over highway 140 towards Medford. I wanted to stop by Howard's Prairie, but must have missed the turnoff. I ran into COSTCO on the way to Medford and stocked up on batteries and trail mix.

After a slight miscue with the directions, I arrived at P&J's in Ashland around noon. I had a place to stay.
